Kide is launching a competition to select the logo for its 50th anniversary

Next year will be a very special milestone for Kide. 2025 marks the 50th anniversary since the launch of the cooperative project, half a century since Javier Alcorta, the main promoter of Kide S.Coop., drove the birth of a new business project in the Lea-Artibai region. Alcorta, together with other entrepreneurs, accompanied by José María Ormaechea from the MONDRAGON Corporation, were the driving force behind a project that is now a benchmark in its sector.

The cooperative in general, and Kide in particular, come hand in hand with values that differ from those of other business projects, has travelled through 50 years of extraordinary times, years of extraordinary prosperity, growth and consolidation. Thanks to the hard work of all the people who make up the cooperative, they have been able to face a series of major crises and some concerning situations, but they have always remained united, and this year will be a very special one for all these reasons. It will be special for each and every one of the people who are a part up the collective.

It will be a year of celebration, acknowledgement and consolidation of a project that looks towards the future with a twinkle of ambition. It will serve as a reminder of what was, is and will be, the values of the cooperative, namely commitment, involvement and solidarity. 2025 will bring a more sustainable and technological project than ever before.

It will also be a year to go out into the villages and streets of the region, to Berriatua and Ondarroa, an exercise to continue improving Lea Artibai, supporting local cultural and sports associations, promoting initiatives and enjoying many activities that will remind us that this is Kide’s year.

Many events have been organised throughout the year, from January to December, but before presenting the festive programme, Kide has launched a challenge for all those who want to be involved in its anniversary. It has organised the competition to select the commemorative logo (brand and slogan – optional) for the 50th anniversary. A competition open to all members of society, to everyone who wants to participate and be part of the history of Kide.

A prize of 500 euros

All participants will be eligible for a cash prize of 500 euros. They can submit their logos before 22 November, as many as they want, in the creative styles they wish, by sending their proposals to the following e-mail address: ospakizuna@kide.com

The jury, made up of members of the 50th anniversary events organising committee and professionals from the field of design and communication, will decide on the successful applicant in December and the logo will be presented to the public in January, coinciding with the launch of the events organised for this important milestone.

The jury will consider submissions based on their creativity, originality and the inclusion of cooperative values and the company’s own philosophy.
